The U.S. – Geological Survey has created an interactive map of 2,000 miles of ocean floor. That means that users can virtually dive into the shores of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Gulf waters along the U.S. Coastlines. They plan to upload pictures of the Artic, Puget Sound, and Hawaiian coasts next. It is expected that the new tool will be used to better protect ocean life and understand underwater hazards.
