Titans Of Mavericks – Women On Board 10/19/16B 20:24 S.S.

MAVERICKS – This  year’s Titans  Of  Mavericks –  Big  Wave Surf  Contest  will  include  a  heat  for  6  female  surfers.   The  announcement  was  made  this  afternoon….just   2  days  before  the  Titans  Of Mavericks  opening  ceremonies.     21  men  have  been  invited,   as  have  8  alternates,  and  8  wild  card  candidates.       The  Window  For  This  Winter’s  Competition  is from November 1^st to March 31^st.      Titans  Of  Mavericks  (is  held  not  far  from  Half Moon  Bay,   at  the  Mavericks  Surf  Break)  takes  place  when  the  waves  are  the biggest,  and  most  dangerous,  of  the  winter.     Professional  big  wave  surfers  come  from across  the  world  to  take  part  in  the  most risk-oriented  event  in  North  America.     The  6  women  surfers  will  be  chosen  by  November 1^st.
