State and County officials have determined that the Thomas Fire, which burned 1139 acres of Ventura And Santa Barbara Counties, was sparked by Southern California Edison power lines….which hit each other during high winds. That contact is said to have ignited the dry brush December 4th of 2017. The Thomas Fire destroyed more than 1000 structures in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, and resulted in the death of 2 people.
