DAVENPORT – A process (that is likely to take years) began last week. About 100 people attended the first of many meetings designed to find out what Davenport locals would like to see done with the old Cemex Plant property there. Although the land is still owned by Cemex, the company is looking to sell it. Any plan for the property must be approved by the California Coastal Conservancy and the California Coastal Commission.
