Santa Cruz County Supervisors today approved $378,000 to fund a winter homeless shelter in Live Oak. The 60-bed shelter will be at the VFW post on 7th Avenue and run by the Salvation Army.
The shelter is expected to open by November 15rh and run through April 15th. Funding has also been approved for a 38-bed winter shelter in Watsonville.
