Veterans, active duty, and reservists (from all branches of the Service) are welcome to enter any of California’s 134 State Parks for free on Memorial Day. That policy was first enacted in 2013, and it is open to all service members from any state in the nation IF they show their military ID, or Proof Of Discharge (other than dishonorable, or bad conduct) at the entrance gate of any California State Park. This offer of free entrance on Memorial Day does not extend to National Parks, such as Yosemite, Pinnacles, or Point Reyes.
