Traffic was slow on southbound Highway 17 today, due to roadwork between Scotts Valley and Los Gatos. Crews were working to repair the storm-damaged roadway between Summit Road and Vine Hill. The emergency paving work is being done from 7:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. through Thursday….and then on Friday, crews expect to start doing similar work between Sims Road and Pasatiempo Drive…..from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Old Soquel San Jose Road used to be an alternate route, but it’s still closed due to the wash-out that occurred during one of the winter storms.
