A traffic stop resulted in drugs and weapons charges for a Salinas man Friday afternoon. A Violence Suppression Patrol Unit stopped a vehicle driven by 56-year-old Felix Margarito Soto near Bardin and Williams Road. After it was determined Soto was out of jail on bail, a search of the car uncovered an ounce of methamphetamine and a pistol. A warrant was obtained for a search of Soto’s home where officers seized two illegal firearms, hand grenades and narcotics for sale. Soto was booked into Monterey County Jail.
