A 17-year-old San Jose state student is in juvenile hall this evening after he was found on campus yesterday in possession of a semi-automatic handgun, ammunition and a knife.
Sunnyvale police say they were tipped off about the armed student by staff at Homestead High School who noticed the student making threats on social media.
Police also found more weapons when they searched the student’s home in Sunnyvale.
