a magnitude 4-point-0 earthquake was recorded just after 5:30 this morning in the san francisco bay area. the epicenter of the quake was 8 miles north of san francisco in the el cerrito-richmond area. bart trains are delayed about 10 minutes because tracks had to be inspected. many were awoken by the earthquake, but no damage or injuries have been reported.
