(16:45) CASTROVILLE – 1 man was killed, and 2 others were injured, when all 3 were shot while in Castroville yesterday. The 3 were reportedly washing a car on the 11-thousand block of Speegle Street, when up to 7 shots were fired at them. 26 year-old Fresno resident Jose Luis Cortez was declared dead at the scene. The other 2 injured men were transported to an area hospital. Anyone with any information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.
