There are a lot of pregnant Harbor Seals in the Monterey Bay Area right now, and people keep going into one of the rookeries, even though it’s cordoned off for the pupping season. The off-limits area, that has often been disturbed recently (even leading to the abandonment of 2 Harbor Seal pups) is the Hopkins Beach Rookery near Pacific Grove. Along with staying out of the rookeries, people are asked not to fly drones over them. Disturbing the Harbor Seals, either on the ground or from the air, is a Federal Offense.
