16:58 Scotts Valley—A Scotts Valley police dog named, Atlas assisted in catching a suspected drug dealer during a routine traffic stop. Atlas and another officer pulled over 28-year-old Michael Condito, of San Jose, on Mount Hermon Road because of a failed headlight. Atlas sniffed the vehicle and detected the drugs Ecstasy, Xanax, Hydrocodone, Cocaine, Whippits, and LSD. Condito was found to be under the influence of drugs and was in possession of close to 300 pills and over $1,700 in cash. Condito was later arrested and charged with possession of LSD, Xanax, Hydrocodone, and Ecstasy for sale. Condito was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail.
