A 10 percent reduction in water use in santa cruz is likely to be approved at today’s city council meeting. That’s because of the lack of rainfall so far this year. If approved, the city council Stage 1 water restrictions will go into effect May 1st …..and run through October 31st. The city plans to set up a site where customers can request more water allocations.
