A Santa Cruz resident and a State Parks employee pulled a person out of the water off of West Cliff Drive on Friday evening. The rescuers pulled the injured victim, of a fall from the cliff near Swanton Boulevard, to the rocks. Arriving fire crews used the fire engines boom and ropes to hoist the victim up the cliff to an awaiting ambulance. The public is reminded to be aware of the dangers of the area and to heed signage.
