A Santa Cruz house suffered major damage due to an electrical fire last week. Shortly after 12-noon on Wednesday fire crews were dispatched to the 4 hundred block of Effey Street. At the scene fire fighters found all occupants outside and smoke coming from a 2nd story bedroom. Fire fighters were able extinguish the blaze and isolate the damage to the 2nd story. Damages are estimated at 245 thosand dollars. The cause of the fire was determined as electrical.
