The Santa Cruz Harbor has issued a warning for slip renters. The warning was issued because the National Weather Service is forecasting high winds for the Monterey Bay area beginning tomorrow (February 12) through Thursday morning. Wind will be south to southeast 25-35 MPH, with gusts as high as 45-60 MPH. Boaters are urged to check their vessels to ensure items are securely stowed, lines are secure, fenders are in place, and scupper drains and bilge pumps are clear and functional.
