(12:53)SANTA CRUZ- A reported domestic violence assault led to the arrest of a Santa Cruz man on Thursday. After receiving a call alleging that35 year old Randy Lewthwaite had attacked a woman with brass knuckles, officers located the suspect shortly before 9 p.m. on Washburn Avenue. Lewthwaite was found to be in possession of a loaded semi automatic pistol and was taken into custody for suspicion of assault, inflicting corporal injury and carrying a concealed weapon.
