(11:53) APTOS- Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputies thwarted an attempted trailer theft early Saturday morning in Aptos. Authorities say that at around 2 a.m. a patrol unit stopped a truck towing a trailer out of the Deer Park Shopping Center. The driver, Frank Gonzalez from Salinas claimed he had picked up the trailer for his boss and was to take it to Fresno. After a two hour investigation deputies were able to establish that Gonzalez had just stolen the trailer. A search of Gonzales truck found burglary tools, shaved keys, drugs, and other contraband. He was booked into county jail.
