In a last ditch effort to get money for projects before statewide funding ends, Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors approved a list of redevelopment projects yesterday. The county estimated 75-million dollars would go towards the projects, with the largest one being a new Mid-County sheriff’s center at 44-million. Other projects include improvements towards the Twin Lakes beachfront, the county’s mental health facility, a bike trail through Arana Gulch, and a new youth center, a joint project of the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Cruz and the Live Oak School District.
