The Santa Cruz City Council has decided to rescind an unpopular law passed last month that left only a few areas in the city where homeless people could camp over night. The council told staff to rewrite the unpopular provision and report back on May 11th with a new, simpler ordinance the city could actuall y see enforced. The current provision had proved widely unpopular with residents on both sides of the issue.
