KION Television reports that Monterey and Santa Cruz County community members have taken a stand against their counties’ pesticide use.
The group, Safe Ag Safe Schools (SASS), met at the Monterey County Government Building urging agriculture commissioners, from both counties, to take action.
Their protest follows the release of a UCLA report that Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties are violating state law with the use of hazardous pesticides.
