Salinas Sting Operation Protects Pedestrians 09-07-18 03:05 DC

Police in Salinas want to reduce the number of traffic accidents involving pedestrians. And they are doing it with a sting operation to trap drivers who don’t stop for someone – in this case a plain-clothes officer – trying to cross the street.

The law says drivers must make way for pedestrians. Police ran the sting Thursday and handed out over 100 tickets to drivers who failed to stop.
