A man received non life threatening injuries after being shot in Salinas early Saturday. The incident took place shortly after 3 a-m on North Main Street near the Northridge mall where two groups of men were engaged in a fight. One of the men produced a pistol and shot another man before fleeing the area. The victim was loaded into a vehicle and transported to a hospital where he was treated and released. None of the participants are cooperating with police. The shooting is being investigated as gang related.
