Salinas Police Arrest 2nd Suspect in October Murder 06-19-20 03:20 DC

Police in Salinas have arrested what they describe as a second suspect in the murder of Armando Medina last October.

Investigators said that 21-year-old Edgar Tapia was a person of interest in the murder but were recently able to find probable cause showing that he worked with the other suspect to shoot and kill Medina.

Tapia was already in the Monterey County Jail on an unrelated charge and now has also been charged with homicide and burglary.

Previously, 32-year-old Justin Bravo was arrested in Castroville.

Armando Medina was killed on Oct. 1 at the Motel 6 on De La Torre Boulevard. He body was found in a stairwell.
