Salinas police on Sunday arrested two men, one of them an escaped inmate. Officers from the city’s Violence Suppression Task Force were on patrol when they saw Irvin Enciso, who had escaped from the Sugar Pine Conservation Camp earlier in the day.
Police say Enciso ran away during the traffic stop but was quickly taken into custody.
A second man, Gonzalo Echevarria, was also in the vehicle. Officers found he had an outstanding felony warrant. Echeverria was booked into county jail. Enciso was turned over to the California Department of Corrections.
