All lanes on Highway 101 in Salinas were shut down for several hours today after a suspect wanted for a Fremont murder was being pursued. Monterey County Sheriff’s Deputies began the chase just after midnight when they discovered that a car involved in a hit and run in Gilroy, was the stolen vehicle involved in a homicide out of Fremont. Deputies were able to apprehend the suspect, who was later identified as Brian Le, after they closed all lanes of the highway near North Main Street, and used a police dog to force Le out of the car.
