Salinas police are investigating a hit and run that took place in Salinas, Monday morning. The incident took place about 9:30 a-m when a healthcare worker was crossing the street with her patient in a wheelchair when they were struck by a vehicle leaving the food pantry the victims were going to. The driver then fled the scene. The victims are expected to survive. Witnesses told police the suspect was well known at the food bank.
