(18:30) SALINAS- Salinas police have arrested a robbery and attempted homicide suspect. Following an investigation into a January 3rd armed robbery, on Williams Road where the robber and clerk exchanged gunfire, and a nearby resident was wounded by a stray bullet, yesterday detectives arrested 25 year old Mark Philip Morris, already in custody at the Monterey County Jail. Morris is being charged with Robbery, Attempted Murder, and firearm related charges to include Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
