A Salinas man has been sentenced to nearly 8 years behind bars. That after a jury found 25 year-old Carlos Ibarra (a known felon) guilty of assault, dissuading a witness, evading police, and being in possession of handgun and ammunition. That incident took place in the parking lot of a grocery store, back in February of last year.
