a salinas woman, suspected of helping an accused child molester, was sentenced today to 200 days in jail. nelida gaytan allegedly lied to police officers about the whereabouts of her boyfriend, rene cruz, when officers began investigating reports he had molested a young girl (who was in gaytan’s care). cruz, who was also supposed to appear in court today, failed to do so. a 5 million dollar warrant has been issued for his arrest.
