Salinas police say they are looking for a suspect wanted in connection to a deadly shooting last night (Wednesday evening). 26-year-old Samuel Mendoza is wanted for murder.
Police responded to reports of multiple shots fired in the Lucky parking lot on South Main Street just before 8 p.m. A 26-year-old man was hit in the leg, and a 22-year-old man was hit in the torso. They were driven to a hospital where the 22-year-old died of his injuries.
Police said Mendoza was last seen leaving the area in a white Lexus sedan.
