(07:00) Santa Cruz County – A man was arrested for allegedly conning people out of thousands of dollars in a rental scam. The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office reported that Aaron Kiefer had been advertising an Aptos home for rent. After Kiefer received money from potential renters he would cancel the new lease without returning the funds. The Sheriff’s Office has accounted for at least 5 victims, totaling several thousand dollars.
