Pajaro Valley Water Management officials received an update this week, on the quality of recycled water being used in the Valley, and the effect it has on soil. A consultant reported on Tuesday, that the recycled water being used has improved the salinity of the soil. Recycled water has not increased the nitrate levels in the ground, and is close to the highest agricultural standards. The report was given at the Board of Directors’ monthly meeting.
