A grant issued by the U.S. Department of Labor was awarded yesterday to Salinas’s Rancho Cielo Youth Campus. Rancho Cielo is a learning and social services center focused on underserved Monterey County youth, and was one of 5 California programs that earned a Youth-build grant. The 1.1 million dollar grant is expected go towards providing on the job training, as well as academic education leadership development.
