P.V. CONSIDERS CHARTER SCHOOL RENEWAL 02-10-11 19:00 a.v.

The renewal of a Pajaro Valley Charter school was at issue this week , along with 7-million dollars in loss of state funding. A vote was taken Wednesday during the Pajaro Valley school board meeting to hold off renewing the Ceiba College Prepatory Academy until February 23rd. In an effort to reserve federal funding for future job protection, the board of trustees also discussed rescinding a November decision to hire teachers and office workers. Trustees were also warned to plan for a potential loss of 7-million dollars in state funding while fixed costs such as salaries and benefits, would continue to rise.
