A 31-year-old man was arrested Sunday after being tackled by customers at a hardware store on santa cruz county’s 41st avenue (just outside capitola). beau james brown is accused of grabbing a woman’s purse and trying to flee. Other shoppers responded to the victim’s alert, and held brown down until santa cruz county sheriff’s deputies responded. Brown was allegedly in possession of several identification cards that were not his. He was arrested on suspicion of theft and identification theft.
