the army wll be conducting emergency preparedness drills today (friday) at the presidio of monterey. the excersizes may involve simulated gunfire as well as a medi-vac helicopter. several local first responders and a local hospital will also be participating in the simulation. the army is warning the community that the simulated gunfire may occur betweem 8 a-m and 1 p-m.
