Prescribed Burns at Wilder Ranch Park Begin Monday 11-23-18 11:35 DC

The California Department of Parks and Recreation with assistance from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection plan to begin a prescribed burn at Wilder Ranch State Park starting Monday, November 26th as conditions allow.

This prescribed burn is being conducted to reduce the threat of wildfire and to enhance natural resources within the park.

Some trails may be closed briefly during these operations to ensure public safety. Prescribed burning will be conducted in accordance with a Smoke Management Permit issued by the Monterey Bay Unified Air Pollution Control District to minimize the smoke impacts on surrounding communities.
