Today is probably not a good day to visit Pinnacles National Park, which is partially closed – no visitor’s center, no restrooms – because of the government shutdown. The east entrance is closed except to people with confirmed camping reservations. The west entrance is open, but no restrooms may be available. If you live on the Monterey Bay this may only be a problem until the government reopens and your visit can be rescheduled. Those from outside the area may have to brave the partial closure or miss the park entirely, at least for this year.
