100-million dollars is being provided by Pacific Gas and Electric to help the victims of the San Bruno fire along with the city to aid in restoration efforts. The fund is expected to become available by the end of the week to families whose homes were destroyed during Thursday evening’s fire, which began when a 50-year old P-G-and-E high pressured gas transmission line ruptured. The fire destroyed 37 homes, killed 4 people and injured dozens of others. The money will be used to help homeowners meet day-to-day needs with no strings attached, along with helping the city rebuild it’s parks, streets, and sidewalks.
