Farmers in California have now been banned from using some pesticides within a quarter mile of public K-12 schools and day care centers. The law, which is one of the most stringent in the nation, applies to fumigants, crop dusters, and air blasters….and it’s scheduled to go into effect January 1st. Violators could face thousands of dollars of fines.
