Highway 1 will once again be closed to through-traffic for overnight work next week. Retaining wall repair is expected to be done next Sunday and Monday nights in the Paul’s Slide area. The closures are scheduled to take place between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Emergency vehicles will be allowed to go through during the roadwork.
Paul’s Slide suffered major storm damage in January of last year, losing part of the southbound lane, and changing the coastline. Paul’s Slide, near Limekiln State Park, remains active, and continues to be monitored.
