Parks to close 05/13/11 5:30P.M. TDH

California state parks officials have announced that 70-state parks are scheduled to be closed, for at least a year.   The closures are expected to take effect when the new fiscal year begins on july 1st.   On the central coast, several parks are scheduled to close.   In santa cruz county, castle rock state park, santa cruz mission state historical park, and twin lakes state beach are scheduled to close.   In monterey county, garrapata and limekiln state parks, and moss landing and zmudowski state beaches are slated for closure.    Henry w. Coe state park in santa clara county is also scheduled to be shuttered.
