The optional check-off box on California tax forms, that benefits otter research, is likely to appear again on forms next year. The CALIFORNIA SEA OTTER FUND expired this year, however assemblyman bill monning introduced legislation to extend it. That bill passed the assembly last week, and is now headed to the state senate . Funding for the program is also on track for the box to remain on tax forms. The otter-research-fund is 1-of-15 optional donation boxes currently on California income tax forms.
