An otter that was part of the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s surrogacy program, and then went on to raise numerous babies in the wild in the Elkhorn Slough….has died. “Otter 501”, who was part of the P.B.S. Nature episode call ed “Saving Otter 501”, was 11 years-old. A necropsy is being done to determine her cause of death.
