October 13, 2015: Lecture Series on Climate Justice Kicks Off at UCSC

(07:28) SANTA CRUZ – A lecture series on climate justice is kicking off on Tuesday at UC Santa Cruz. The Center for Creative Ecologies is hosting the free public talks, which will explore the current meanings of climate justice for communities from California to the Ecuadorian Amazon. The concept focuses on the realization that environmental change and structural inequalities must be addressed simultaneously in order to establish long-term solutions. The series kicks off Tuesday with a lecture titled Ecuador and the Elusiveness of Climate Justice. The lecture will begin at 4 p.m. at the Namaste Lounge at College 9/10.
