santa cruz county sheriff’s deputies confiscated some property from the occupy santa cruz encampment in front of the county courthouse early this morning. just after 5 a.m., deputies dismantled at least one tent and some tables. deputies did not dismantle a large dome that was built in front of the courthouse. a permit issued by the city gives wednesday as a deadline for the encampment to clear out of the park. anybody who’s property was confiscated can claim their property at the santa cruz county sheriff’s office.
