November 19, 2015: Four Salinas Men Arraigned for Violent Crimes

(07:18) SAN JOSE – Four Salinas men appeared in federal court Wednesday to face a number of gang-related charges. The U.S. Department of Justice recently indicted nine suspected gang members on 73 counts of violent crime, including murder, attempted murder, and armed robbery. Salinas officials say all nine men contributed to a majority of the city’s homicides in 2009. Three of the men, Victor Skates, Antonio Cruz, and Anthony Lek, have pleaded not guilty. Robert Loera also appeared in court, but did not enter a plea. The next hearing has been scheduled for February 3. (S.G.)
