A local grower-shipper company has a new product. Foxy Produce is now selling the leaves of the broccoli plant under the name ‘brocco-leaf’. The leaves are pickled while still young, and then bundled and sent off to market. The broccoli leaves (much like the broccoli itself) are a good source of calcium, vitamin c, and folate (which is a key nutrient for pregnant women, and for good heart health).
